Happy Pride! It’s an exciting month full of celebrations and chances to connect and be one with the LGBTQIA+ community, even beyond the much-awaited Pride March. While we do believe the celebration of love and the fight for equal rights shouldn’t just be limited to Pride Month, now’s still a great time to show up and show support. 

 

RainbowQC Pride Film Festival

For the first time ever, QCinema is hosting a pride edition of the film festival, featuring a selection of queer films from four countries, and five short films from local filmmakers.

Lov3Laban sa Diliman

Known as the biggest Pride event in Southeast Asia (with more than 220,000 joining the festivities last year!), LoveLaban is heading to UP Diliman this year. It’s a celebration of queer love and talent throughout the program, leading up to the annual march.

Pride Afterparty

After the Pride festivities at UP Diliman, check out the afterparty at Street Kohi, where you can continue the celebration. Expect fun games, a fashion show, arts and crafts activities, and more. The afterparty starts at 9:30 p.m.

 

Runrio Pride Run

June 22 (SM Seaside Cebu) and June 29 (SM Lanang, Davao, and SM Mall of Asia Complex, Manila)

The Runrio Pride Run continues this year, happening in three cities across the country. Runners can register for 1K, 3K, 5K, and 10K races. A virtual run, happening throughout the month of June, has also been opened. Now anyone can join in celebrating, fighting, and running for the LGBTQIA+ community anywhere in the country.

 

Vuhklaan sa Kalawakwahn

June 14 to July 12
Kalawakan Spacetime, Casa Bella, Quezon City

More than 100 artists have come together in the “Vuhklaan sa Kalawakwahn” art show to celebrate “queerness in art and community,” and to “resist the erasure of trans, non-binary, and queer identities.” The show is presented by Kalawakan Spacetime and Garapata, curated by drag artists Pura Luka Vega and Superstarlet XXX.

 

Metro Manila Pride

Metro Manila Pride is holding a series of events throughout June to celebrate and stand up for LGBTQIA+ rights, with the theme “Bukas Para sa Lahat.” On the 21st, a speed dating event will be happening at Co-Create Studios in Pasig, while on the 28th, they will be organizing a Pride picnic. Further details on the event will be announced soon.
